It’s been a long week for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

First, he had to endure losing his best receiver, Tyreek Hill, in a trade to the Miami Dolphins. And he’s also been riding the roller coaster March Madness ride with Texas Tech.

Last weekend, Mahomes was clearly jacked up when his alma-mater defeated Notre Dame to reach the Sweet Sixteen.

But unfortunately for Patrick Mahomes, the Red Raiders’ run hit an abrupt ending on Thursday night.

Despite being up most of the game against Coach K’s Duke team, the Blue Devils came surging back late, beating Texas Tech 78-73.

After the game, Mahomes shared his pain with the masses on social media.

So Patrick Mahomes will now have to eat his tickets to the Elite Eight this weekend after Texas Tech couldn’t finish the job.

Now, Duke will face Arkansas in San Francisco, in a game that’s bound to be tight from start to finish. And as for Mahomes, he’ll hope his front office can find him some more weapons prior to the start of next season.
