“Papa John” Spills Dirt On Jerry Jones’ Fight To Get Roger Goodell Fired

Despite earlier reports, Jerry Jones refused to commit to Mike McCarthy when speaking on his coaching staff following the loss last weekend

For a while now, we’ve heard rumblings about Jerry Jones’ distaste for NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. But now, an unlikely source is trying to spill all the beans.

According to the original “Papa John”, John Schnatter, WFT owner Dan Snyder and Jones both went to great lengths to get Roger Goodell fired.

“Snyder and Jones hate Goodell,” Schnatter said. “I said, ‘No, this is not my job to fire your Commissioner. He works for you.’ Remember, Goodell is a coward, and he is incompetent. And he’s just lucky.”

The exiled Papa John’s owner would continue to describe his conversations with Jerry Jones via Pro Football Talk.

“Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, Indra Nooyi [former CEO] with PepsiCo, and Dan Snyder all called me — several other folks — about Goodell’s conduct and the way he was handling this. Jones and Dan Snyder . . . wanted Goodell fired.

Obviously, John Schnatter is trying to remain relevant even after having his precious pizza franchise taken from him. But who would have thought he’d be trying to do so by sharing some dirt on Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder?

Needless to say, Roger Goodell won his battle against the two owners, for now.
