August is the calm before the storm.

For bettors the Month of August is all about Futures bets. It’s the lead up to the greatest five months of sports gambling of the year, which means it’s the perfect time to predict the future. While  some wait for actual games to be  played, others quickly put their money on the long play, hoping that when the season ends, they’ll be one of the lucky few to cash in on their futures bets.

So far this month we’ve seen a handful of  teams and players lead the charge in total money drawn.  As of this month, the three teams receiving the most money drawn are the Bills, Niners, and  the Las Vegas Raiders. Bettors are banking on this trio to win the Super Bowl in February.  As far as the players, there is Trey Lance, Derek Carr, and Tua.  Bettors are convinced one of these three QB’s is going to win the NFL MVP

Bettors are always going for the bigger payout, which may explain the teams and players on this list.

Tua at 75-1 is probably a stretch, but you never know if he and Tyreek Hill are going to gel. If they do start out hot, who knows what the rest of the season can hold. Derek Carr is now paired up with his old buddy Davante Adams,  which may give him the weapon that takes him to the MVP level. Trey Lance seems like a real longshot, mostly because he’s doesn’t have too many starts under his belt. Lance has started  2 games in the NFL.

Now let’s talk about the teams. You have the Bills, who do feel like they’re ready to get to that next level. They’ll be coming off a great season, one in which Josh  Allen proved he’s one of the best in the league. The Niners, another playoff team from last season, will be counting on the Trey Lance era to immediately pay dividends.  And then you have the Raiders, with a brand new coach in Josh McDaniels.

Based off his last stint as Head Coach, there’s plenty unknown on the Silver and  Black.

It will be a fun to keep tabs on these early bets that are flying in. And you know we’ll definitely be watching closely,  this is what we do.
