Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson still doesn’t have a contract extension as he enters the final year of his deal this season.

All offseason, the storyline centered around Jackson and how much he’s worth has dominated headlines. And still, there are some conflicting rumors out there about how much he’s been offered by the Ravens’ brass.

Today, more fans were calling on the Ravens to pony up and give the dual-threat QB the money he deserves. And when a fan had to chime in to claim there was already given a $250 Million offer, Jackson himself had to come to his own defense.

“No they didn’t,” he said.

With the season beginning in less than two weeks, the clock is ticking for the Ravens to get something done with Lamar Jackson. He recently said he’s not going to be going through contract negotiations once the season begins.

“Lamar Jackson said he wants contract extension talks over by Week 1, one way or another. So there’s your deadline,” Ravens writer Jonas Shaffer tweeted out on Aug. 13.

The former MVP quarterback has opted not to use an agent to this point of his NFL career, so he’s been going at these grueling contract negotiations with the help of some family members, and it’s clear some bad blood is starting to creep in.

“He’s trying to negotiate a contract in riddles,” an NFL agent told Ben Standigof The Athletic. “He’s not just being direct and saying what he wants to say. He has no one driving the ship for him right now.”

Regardless of how complicated Lamar Jackson’s representation (or lack thereof) is making things for the Ravens, they have to know that it’s in their best interest to get something done before the season begins.
