It’s safe to say Kliff Kingsbury is hoping Kyler Murray gets his contract extension figured out ASAP.

All offseason, the speculation surrounding Murray has been magnified after he scraped the Cardinals from his IG account and reports were swirling that he would not arrive without a new deal.

Still, Kyler Murray has showed up to Cardinals’ minicamp, but Kliff Kingsbury is hoping the whole thing gets resolved ASAP so the storyline can go away.

Kliff Kingsbury would go on to say he doesn’t know if Kyler Murray would show up to Training Camp if they’re unable to get a deal done.

“I’m not sure,” Kingsbury said of Murray showing up for camp without a new deal. “That’d be a Kyler question. But I, just personally — I’m being selfish here — would love for him to be there the first day of training camp.”

Regardless of the noise surrounding the situation, Kliff Kingsbury remains confident that a record-breaking deal will get done with Kyler Murray.

“We’re about to make him, I’m sure, the highest-paid player in this franchise’s history and so he understands what comes with that,” Kingsbury said. “The guys know what he can be at his best, and anytime we can get the whole band out there, things pick up.”
