Count Justin Jefferson on of many Minnesota Vikings players who are happy to see Mike Zimmer gone, and embracing the new regime.

When hyping up the new offense, Jefferson threw some shade at the old coaching staff during OTAs.

“We had an old-style offense last year,” Jefferson told USA TODAY Sports. “It’s 2022. You get into a new age and move to a new generation. Adding new things to the offense definitely allows us to be more comfortable with the offense and work in different areas of the fields.”

Even though Mike Zimmer specialized mainly of the defensive side of the football, he seemed to have a large hand int he teams offense, and had made some disparaging comments about quarterback Kirk Cousins in the past.

Now, the Vikings are turning the page to offensive guru Kevin O’Connell as head coach, and Justin Jefferson is chomping at the bit.

Last season, the star receiver was able haul in 108 passes for 1, 616 yards and ten touchdowns. If he feels the offense is only getting better, stay tuned for what he has in store for year three.
