The Las Vegas Raiders have an extremely bright future.

They have their new coach, a brand new receiver, and a QB who is more than capable of winning  games. Derek Carr and his new wide receiver Davante Adams gives Raiders fans plenty of hope for their future.

That is as long as they can keep Derek Carr long-term, who will eventually need to sign a new deal. Sounds easy enough, right?

New head coach Josh McDaniels gave an update that doesn’t sound too promising, the two sides appear to be very far apart.

“I think ultimately, you know, you try to do what’s best for the team. I think both sides gotta do what’s best. When we get into those talks with Derek, you know, Derek’s going to have to make decisions about what’s best for him. That’s what each man’s right is. At the same time, we’ve got to do what’s right for the team. There will be a sweet spot in there, hopefully, for everybody.”

Adams has to be thinking this sounds like QB drama all over again. If he thought the drama would stop just because he’s not around Aaron Rodgers anymore, he’s wrong.

All these QB’s are the same, they want more and more. If I’m the Raiders I’m not screwing around, I’m paying Carr whatever he wants.
