It’s safe to say that Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is happy with a change of scenery.

After being traded from the Ravens to the Cardinals this offseason, Brown spoke on the years he spent in Baltimore. And in an honest admission, the speedy receiver admitted that they didn’t really need him as much as the Cardinals do right now.

Per Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com:

“It’s about happiness. I want to feel like I am a part of something to win. At the Ravens, I just felt like sometimes they really didn’t need me. Regardless if I was there or not, they were going to win games.

“I love the game too much. I want to be involved.”

In Hollywood Brown’s defense, the Ravens have been especially run-heavy since embracing Lamar Jackson as their QB. And often times, that leads to less production from the receiving corps.

With Kyler Murray as his quarterback, Brown is hoping for a significant uptick in production.

Last season, Hollywood set career highs when hauling 91 catches for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns, proving that despite his words, he was actually a focal point of Baltimore’s offense.

Obviously, losing a guy of Marquise Brown leaves a void in the Ravens receiver room, and they’ll be calling on some of their younger play-makers to fill it.

As it stands, Rashod Bateman and Devin Duvernay are listed as the top two receivers on Baltimore’s depth chart.
