Fans Were Quick To Notice That Baker Mayfield’s Oklahoma Statue Didn’t Look Anything Like Him

According to a report, the Cleveland Browns might look to bring in some competition for Baker Mayfield during this offseason after a lackluster 2021-22 season

It has been a rough offseason for Baker Mayfield.

The quarterback had his job taken from him after the Browns traded for Deshaun Watson to be their QB1. But this week was supposed to be different for Mayfield.

To celebrate his college prowess, Oklahoma unveiled their statue in Baker Mayfield’s honor. The only problem: it didn’t actually look anything like Baker.

Social media erupted with jokes after seeing the depiction of Baker Mayfield for his statue.

Despite the fact that the statue looks nothing like Baker Mayfield, he shared his gratitude for the moment at hand.

“I’m a Sooner for life and incredibly grateful for all of the success my teammates and I had at OU,” Mayfield said via 247 Sports. “It’s humbling and surreal to think about having a statue in iconic Heisman Park. I can’t wait to be back in Norman and reunite with the most passionate fans in college football.”

During a recent interview, Baker Mayfield maintained that he believes he can be a successful starting quarterback in the NFL despite his atrocious year in 2021-22.

Still, no team has been ambitious enough to land Mayfield in a trade. But when push comes to shove, I’m sure we’ll be seeing him land a shot at redemption next season.
