Dwayne Haskins Reportedly Was In A Car With A Drunk Woman Prior to Tragic Passing

More troubling Dwayne Haskins details.

Last weekend we learned of the tragic news that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and former Ohio State star Dwayne Haskins had passed away. The QB was hit by a dump truck while trying to cross a major Miami highway. Since his death there hasn’t been much too information released, although a witness did say he saw Haskins walking down the highway, and nearly getting hit by multiple passing cars.

More information about the tragic accident that happened around 6:30 Saturday morning is still coming out.  Sports radio personality Andy Slater tweeted out that Haskins was allegedly traveling with a drunk female before he got killed:

“Dwayne Haskins was traveling in a car with a woman before he walked onto the expressway, multiple sources tell me.

The woman was passed out in the disabled car at the scene.”

By the sounds of the report, it seems Dwayne may have been in a car prior to the accident. At some point he got out of the car and attempted to cross the busy highway.

Dwayne’s widow, Kalabrya Haskins, released a statement:

“I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to every loving soul who has supported our family during this arduous time of loss. The overwhelming thoughts and prayers have been fuel for our emotional depletion.

The meaningful touches and impact Dwayne made as husband, son, brother, teammate and friend is a timeless treasure imbrued in our hearts.

My husband was more than a great football player. He had the smile of a rainbow that touched the diversity of so many. He will forever rest and remain in our hearts til the end of time.”

Clearly the circumstances around his death are still very much unknown

According to ESPN, the memorial service will be held at the Allegheny Center Alliance Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a visitation preceding the memorial from 10-11 a.m..
