It now appears that the Seahawks have a DK Metcalf problem.

After losing star QB Russell Wilson in the offseason, many felt that they might lock up Metcalf for the long haul. But so far, the two sides remain apart.

And after skipping OTAs earlier in the offseason, it has now been reported that DK Metcalf is not present at mini-camp, either.

DK Metcalf has emerged as one of the top receivers in the NFL. And while Russ being traded will undoubtedly leave a void, they appeared to still have some playmakers on the offensive side of the ball.

Now, the Seahawks will likely have to make a decision at some point on whether to pay DK or trade him away like they did with Wilson.

Earlier in the offseason,  Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll maintained optimism that a Metcalf deal would be worked out.

“It’s really important to us,” Carroll said of a potential Metcalf extension, via PFT. “We’ll kick it into [General Manager] John [Schneider’s] court here in the weeks to come after the draft. We’re really communicating great and DK, we’ve been on a great wavelength to move forward. Hopefully, this will all work out. We don’t plan on him going anywhere. We want him to be with us.”

We’ll await any more information regarding the DK Metcalf absence.
