Deshaun Watson’s Lawyer Explains Why Watson Gave Spa Owner $5K Following His Massage

There are 24 separate women who have filed lawsuits against Deshaun Watson.

Three of the women accusing Deshaun Watson of sexual misconduct worked at a Houston area spa, which is owned by Dionne Louis. Watson reportedly paid Dionne Louis $5,000, which she claims was because he was “a nice guy.” In an interview with USA TODAY’s Brent Schrotenboer, Watson’s attorney Rusty Hardin had an explanation as to why the Browns QB sent out that money.

According to Hardin, it had nothing to do with Watson trying to keep Louis quiet.

Via USA Today:

“She asked him to help out her business and he did, and that’s what the $5,000 was,” Hardin said. “It didn’t have anything to do with all the ulterior suggestions.”

According to the litigation filed by Nia Smith, the 23rd woman who has filed a civil suit against Watson, the Browns QB offered $100K to each of his accusers to settle, but requested an “aggressive” non-disclosure agreement in exchange for the payout. Clearly they are holding out for a much bigger payday than that.

Especially after he signed his mega deal with the Browns.

The more info that comes out,  the guiltier Watson sounds. But of course he’s innoncent until prove guilty,  just not in the court of public opinion.
