Dak Prescott Admits He’s Afraid To Have Kids After Latest School Shooting

A Dallas Cowboys writer was trashed all over the web after claiming the team should bring in Marcus Mariota to give Dak Prescott some competition

Like many athletes across the country, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is speaking out following the horrific shooting at an elementary school on Tuesday.

During his media appearance on Wednesday, Prescott admitted that he’s afraid to have children at this point due to all the violence seen around the country.

“We’re talking about children. I don’t have kids and can’t imagine having to send my kid to school with that anxiety,” Prescott told reporters. “Honestly, it makes me fearful to have children. And that’s not right. That’s sad.”

When Speaking out, Dak Prescott was also asked if he’s ever been told to ‘stick to sports’.

“No. I don’t know if anyone is that ignorant to tell me that to be honest with you,” he said.

As previously mentioned, athletes from all different American leagues have spoken out about the shooting, but perhaps no one was as adamant as Warriors head coach Steve Kerr — who lost his father in a shooting several years back.

“There’s 50 senators right now who refuse to vote on H.R.8, which is a background check rule that the House passed a couple of years. It’s been sitting there from two years. And there’s a reason they won’t vote on it. To hold onto power,” he said while calling out lawmakers prior to the game Tuesday night.

Good for people like Steve Kerr and Dak Prescott for using their platform to try to influence meaningful change in order to make sure instances like the shooting yesterday stop becoming common in our country.
