Chase Claypool Gets Trashed For Calling Himself a Top 3 WR in the NFL

Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Chase Claypool turned into a scapegoat after his celebration took time off the clock when the Steelers wanted to spike the ball

Chase Claypool needs a reality check.

Being a confident receiver is just part of the gig, you have to believe in yourself and know what you can and can’t do on the field. Being delusional is another thing. Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool is getting trashed for being delusional. During an appearance on the “I Am Athlete” show the Pittsburgh Steelers wideout said he was a Top 3 wide receiver in the NFL.

“I know for a fact I am not like the rest of the guys in the NFL. I know I’m a Top 5 wide receiver. I know I’m a Top 3 wide receiver.”

Chase Clayool had a great rookie year but last year he only had 59 catches for 860 yards and two touchdowns. That’s not exactly top 3 WR numbers. It’s debatable whether or not he’s even the best receiver on his own team. Twitter let him have it for speaking out of pocket.

NFL wide receivers are some of the biggest divas in the world, some of them have too much confidence, while others have just enough.

Chase Claypool better hope Mitch Trubisky can help him out this season or he’ll never lived down these comments.
