Kyler Murray could have played baseball professionally.
Instead he opted to go the football route. But if by chance he wants to play baseball, the Cardinals have inserted some language, or clauses, that would protect them. According to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM in Phoenix, the language is reportedly not too complicated, and simply removes some of Murray’s guaranteed money if he opts to play baseball.

There is some baseball language in the new Kyler Murray contract. Basically some of the guarantees would void if he plays baseball. Also there is not a no trade clause in the contract

The whole point of him playing baseball was that he could possibly make more money, and have a longer career.
But there is very little chance he would have ever made that kind of money playing in the Majors.
Murray was the No. 8 pick in the 2018 MLB Draft and initially signaled his intention to play baseball before changing his mind.
Highly doubt will ever see Murray playing baseball.
