ESPN insider Adam Schefter was under heavy fire following the tragic death of quarterback Dwayne Haskins.

When reporting the incredibly sad news, Schefter made the terrible decision to throw in Haskins’ NFL shortcomings, upsetting many around the NFL community.

Over a day later, Adam Schefter finally posted an apology on social media. The apology ended up being a clip from his podcast, where he shed some light on the kind of person Dwayne Haskins was.

With his initial post, Adam Schefter got a negative reaction out of many prominent athletes — including Lamar Jackson and Damian Lillard.

While many people were calling for ESPN to suspend Schefter, it’s unclear if they’ll be taking that action at this time.

RIP to Dwayne Haskins and prayers to his family.
