49ers Players Reportedly ‘Prefer’ One Quarterback to Start the Season

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch spoke on his upcoming decision on whether or not to trade Jimmy Garoppolo in the offseason

Jimmy G wins games.

But can he  win the big one?  Jimmy recently requested a trade, clearing the way for the Trey Lance era to begin. But as long as Jimmy G  is still on  the Niners roster,  who know what  will happen come opening week.

Apparently  49ers players prefer Garoppolo to start over Lance.

“Sean Salisbury, on a Houston radio show, said he spoke to someone close to the #49ers QB situation who told him many of the #Niners players prefer Jimmy Garoppolo to start. This is maddening. I’m glad it will be over soon,” said Marc Adams.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported last week that the Seahawks are looking at possibly trading for Garoppolo, but as of now they plan to stick with Drew Lock and Geno Smith.

Garoppolo appeared in 15 games last season for the 49ers and completed 68.3 percent of his passes for 3,810 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

Maybe the Jimmy G era is going to last another season in San Fran?
