Zach LaVine Addresses Lakers Free Agent Rumors

Josh Engleman brings you his NBA fantasy basketball show with strategy on how to build DraftKings & FanDuel NBA DFS lineups today, 1/3/2021.

Zach LaVine is a free agent and he will have a big decision to make.

At this point, it seems like LaVine wants to test the market which means the Bulls will have to hope he wants to stay and play in Chicago. This should definitely freak out Bulls fans who figured Zach LaVine was a lock to stay only a few months ago. The rumor mill started to churn when LaVar Ball predicted Lavine would be heading out West to play with the Lakers.

LaVine fed into the rumors he’s heading to the Lakers last night while out and about in L.A. According to TMZ, LaVine was asked about the Lakers which led to LaVine saying “I’ve always been a big fan.”

“But, when asked to give a message to Laker Nation, LaVine’s response is enough to give fans a glimmer of hope.

“I’ve always been a big fan,” he said as he hopped in his Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.

LaVine has emerged as a legit scorer ever since he was traded from Minnesota to the Chicago Bulls in 2017 … averaging 24 points this past season.

The Lakers will have some serious competition as they try to rebuild after a horrendous 2022 … with Chicago, Portland and Atlanta among teams potentially interested in landing him.”

While Lavine’s love for L.A. doesn’t mean too much, he’s definitely not a lock to return to the Bulls.

But I’m hoping he sees his best chance of winning is staying in Chitown and continuing to build what they have going.
