Video: Ben Simmons Show Off New Jumper, Three Point Shot During Brooklyn Nets Practice

Simmons hopes to play for the Brooklyn Nets during their first-round series against Boston, though he said he probably won’t be ready for Game 3 on Saturday, April 23. Ben Simmons is back.

The polarizing Brooklyn Nets star practiced with the Brooklyn Nets today for what feels like the first time in a very long while. Simmons got dealt from the Philadelphia Sixers to the Brooklyn Nets last season, but he hasn’t played one single minute for the Nets. It feels like the last time we saw him playing basketball with other NBA players he was afraid to shoot the ball.

But here is Ben Simmons doing what he seemingly fears the most, shooting threes and putting up plenty of shots. The video shows Ben Simmons shooting some corner three-pointers.

Watch Ben shoot below:

Ben was asked about how many Three’s he would take this season.

The video of Ben’s new jumpshot was taken by media members during an actual practice. It’s not like a sizzle reel to show off his new jump shot.

Some guys just can’t shoot, and Ben is one of them. You can tweak his shot all you want, it really won’t make him a good shooter. They need to play to his strengths, which is scoring in transition and dishing out the ball. Why focus so much on him shooting threes? If you want a three point shooter, it’s not ever going to be him. That being said, if he could ever figure out how to shoot, he’d be pretty hard to guard.

The Ben Simmons circus never seems to end.
