As Joel Embiid referenced during the NBA Playoffs, the Miami Heat feel like they’re one star away from being true contender next year, and perhaps Donovan Mitchell is that guy.
After the Heat lost Game 7 to the Boston Celtics, Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report openly pondered what it would take for the Heat and Jazz to manufacture a trade centered around Herro and Mitchell.
A Donovan Mitchell trade between the Knicks and Jazz is highly unlikely, per @JakeLFischer

Prior to the Heat buzz, it was reported that Donovan Mitchell could end up on the Knicks. But as Bleacher Report pointed out, the Heat could have much more to offer the Jazz than most other teams.
In the postseason, Tyler Herro has had some moments, but injuries and inconsistent play from the young wing proved costly down the stretch. And after the season concluded, Herro declared that he’s had enough of being a sixth man, and would like to be in the starting rotation next season.
“It’s my fourth year, I think I’ve earned it,” he said.
A Donovan Mitchell-Tyler Herro swap could make sense on many different fronts. But it’s also likely that a lot of back-and-forth would have to take place before that deal materializes.
