Would the Lakers really consider trading LeBron James to start their rebuild?
During today’s “First Take”, ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith went on a whole tangent on why the time is now for the Lakers to pull the trigger on a LeBron trade. He even has a team in mind for the superstar: the Miami Heat.

I think the Los Angeles Lakers should strongly consider trading @KingJames. pic.twitter.com/GfyiArSIyI

Stephen A. Smith would go on to explain why the Miami Heat make the most sense for LeBron James.
“I’m calling Miami because they’ve got some – you talk about Bam Adebayo, Tyler Hero, they’ve got some young talent,” Smith said.
The problem with Stephen A. Smith’s argument is that it doesn’t really make sense for either the Heat or Lakers to pull the trigger on this move.
For the Heat, they’re already a contender with the core they have in place. And LeBron James has maintained that he’d like to remain in LA, and living in the city is probably best for his brand, overall.
Despite Stephen A’s comments, I think it’s safe to say LeBron James isn’t going anywhere.
