Sports World Reacts To The Death Of NBA Legend Bill Russell

The sports world has taken on a somber tone after it was announced today that NBA legend Bill Russell has passed away.

He was 88 years old.

Shortly after the news was announced, many were flocking to social media to pay homage to Bill Russell.

During his illustrious career, Bill Russell won 11 championships as a player, two as a coach, two NCAA Championships, five MVP’s, and was voted All-NBA 11 times.

In the GOAT discussion, Russell certainly has a place.

Even in his old age, Bill Russell remained around the game, and was a valuable ambassador for the NBA.

He will be greatly missed.
