A Sixers fan was caught sleeping courtside during his team’s series-tying Game 4 win over the Miami Heat on Sunday night.

And because the internet is an absolute gutter of content, the sleeping fan immediately went viral. He became the butt of the joke  on social media, and even on the postgame show.

See the Sixers fan sleeping below:

But it turns out that’s not just any Sixers fan.

The Sleeping fan is David Kelleher of David Autos, an official auto provider of the Sixers. Kelleher was interviewed over his 15 minutes of internet fame.

“This is unprecedented,” David Kelleher told KYW Newsradio, a local Philadelphia station. “I mean this is all over the place. Somebody said I’m officially ‘trending on Twitter.’ There has been a lot of positive feedback. Everybody is making the assumption that I had been drinking. It’s not actually accurate… I did have a drink or two, but not a lot.”

Kelleher said he was tired after taking a flight from Atlanta to Philadelphia after a college visit with his daughter, and eating too much at a Mother’s Day brunch.

Is someone sleeping at a game news?? I guess so, and even the “Real News” outlets are covering this.

This stuff trends, not much we can do about it at this point.
