Russell Westbrook Being Linked to One Eastern Conference Team

DraftKings & FanDuel NBA Fantasy projections for DFS and daily fantasy basketball lineups on Wednesday April 21 with ownership and boom/bust potential

12 June 2012: Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook (0) warms up prior to Game 1 of the 2012 NBA Finals between the Heat and the Thunder, at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA.

The Russell Westbrook experiment in Los Angeles did not go as planned.

The Lakers easily had one of their most disappointing seasons in franchise history. From the very jump, most of the blame was placed squarely on the shoulders of Russell Westbrook. He seemed to be the scapegoat for the Lakers disastrous season.

In spite of his extremely tough season, some other teams are already sniffing around. According to reporter Marc Stein, it would appear as though there is one Eastern Conference team that is very much interested in Westbrook’s services.

That team is the Charlotte Hornets, who are currently looking at the play-in during this year’s post season.

Of course, LaMelo Ball has been a fantastic point guard for them, although he could be shifted to the two guard slot.

Russell is a Jordan brand athlete so there’s his connection to Hornets owner Michael Jordan. Putting Westbrook on your team is a risky proposition.

As great as he is an athlete, he has way too many holes in his game.
