Is Steve Nash coaching his way out of Brooklyn?

After a disappointing regular season, Nash’s squad has faltered int heir postseason series against the Celtics. They’re currently down 3-0, hoping to stave off elimination when they face off again on Monday night.

Being as the team has been getting completely outworked and outcoached, many fans are calling for Nash to be fired. But according to NBA insider Marc Stein, that likely won’t happen.

According to the report, Steve Nash still has the support of Kevin Durant and the team’s front office.

Throughout his NBA career, Steve Nash was touted as one of the smartest players of all-time. But clearly, coaching has been an adjustments. And dealing with Kyrie Irving and now Ben Simmons doesn’t make any of that any easier.

Sure, Nash could probably be doing a better job putting his team in position to be successful. But given all the distractions away from the court, it’s impossible to pin the entirety of the Brooklyn mess on coaching.

For now, it appears as though Steve Nash’s job is safe. But maybe the team will re-evaluate once they’re officially eliminated from the NBA Playoffs.
