Possible Reason For Kevin Durant Trade Request Revealed

Kevin Durant wants the hell out of Brooklyn, only three years after he and Kyrie Irving teamed up to win championships for years to come.

Only a few days after learning Kyrie Irving opted into his deal to play another year, Durant is the one who wants out now. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Brooklyn Nets general manager Sean Marks “is working with Kevin Durant and his business manager Rich Kleiman to find a trade partner. They will be more than happy to work with him to find a better spot.

According to Woj, the relationship between Kyrie and KD might have played a role, as they have not spoken since Irving’s decision to opt into his contract.

“Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving had no contact with the franchise after Irving opted into his deal on Monday, and a sense of inevitability existed that Durant would eventually ask for a trade, sources tell ESPN,” Woj said. “It happened today.”

Twitter reacted to the friends not working things out in  Brooklyn.

Durant signed a four-year, $194 million contract extension with the Nets that was set to kick in this coming season.
