Sure enough, oddsmakers agree with the reports stating the Knicks are best positioned to land Donovan Mitchell.

Today, the odds on where Mitchell will land (if he is traded) were released. And the Knicks were the heavy favorites, followed by the Heat, Celtics and Nets.

The Heat are in desperate need of a playmaker of Donovan Mitchell’s caliber. But for now, they seem more intent on trying to make a Kevin Durant trade work.

After acquiring Jalen Brunson earlier in the offseason, it’s entirely possible that the Knicks opt to revamp their entire backcourt with the addition of Mitchell.

Sure, Donovan Mitchell might help sell some jerseys and get people packing the Garden next season, but it would seem that the Knicks need a more clear alpha to really cause a stir in the Eastern Conference.
