It has been an unbelievable tumultuous season for LeBron James and the Lakers.

After a series of injuries and free agent acquisitions not fitting in, the Lakers were officially eliminated from the playoffs on Tuesday night.

All season long, a tweet LeBron James sent out to the critics of the Lakers was going viral while the team was sputtering out of control.

“Keep talking about my squad, our personnel ages, the way they play, we’re past our time in this league, etc etc etc!!” James said in the preseason tweet. “Do me one favor PLEASE!!!! And I mean PLEASE!!!! Keep that same narrative ENERGY when it’s begins. That’s all I ask. #ThankYou.”

It was revealed shortly after the playoffs were no longer within reach that LeBron James had deleted the viral message to his haters.

LeBron James will now have an extended offseason where he can focus on getting his body right prior to the 2022-23 season.

As of now, it’s unclear if the Lakers will try to keep LeBron on their roster, or opt for a full-blown rebuild. But either way, it’s clear that a massive overhaul in necessary in LA.

Something tells me LeBron James won’t be as confident about next season after this disaster of a year.
