LeBron is really making things even more confusing.
When Patrick Beverley officially a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, many assumed the writing was on the wall for Russell Westbrook. Beverley and Westbrook are kind of enemies, to put it mildly, and now they will have to get used to each other as they both have a common goal of taking the Los Angeles Lakers to the NBA Finals. But reports following the acquisition of Patrick Beverley sounded like Russell was once again not in the Lakers plans for this coming season.
Reports suggested they would be willing to make Westbrook inactive for the entire season and just eat his $47 million dollar contract.
In the aftermath of the Patrick Beverley trade, everyone was clowning on Westbrook. It felt like some people were making fun of Westbrook, while others sought to defend him. One of the people defending Westbrook was none other than LeBron James who took to Twitter and wrote “Can’t wait for him to go off this season!!”

Beverley chimed in on LeBron’s comments, which leads one to believe everything is copasetic between Beverley, Westbrook, and LeBron.

These were some very interesting comments, especially consider the reports that the Lakers would possibly give Westbrook the John Wall treatment if they can’t find a trade partner.
It sounds like LeBron is still in Westbrook’s corner for now.
