The Lakers drama never seems to end.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook reportedly are all on the same page following a phone call they had during the first weekend of NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, with each cementing their commitment to one another and promising to make things work out following a dismal season.

Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports:

“The Los Angeles Lakers’ Big 3 of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook huddled up on a phone conversation the first weekend of NBA Summer League in Las Vegas with each expressing their commitment to one another and vowing to make it work, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

While the uncertainty of Westbrook’s future with the Lakers remains, the conversation was organized to make sure all three were on the same page as long as they’re joined together in their pursuit of a championship, sources said.”

Westbrook has been rumored to be on the trade block, most notably a package for Nets point guard Kyrie Irving. Westbrook, however, has not requested a trade, per Haynes.

This could be seen as an act of solidarity between the Lakers’ star players, but in Laker Land things can change on a dime.

If LeBron can get Kyrie, he’ll gladly say goodbye to Russ.
