Kyrie Irving Reacts After Opting In To Nets Contract

Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving finally breaks his silence on his thought process when it comes to the COVID vaccine

Despite all the noise over the past couple of weeks, it appears as though Kyrie Irving has made his decision.

On Monday night, it was reported that Kyrie has informed the Nets of his plans to opt in to his player contract for the 2022-23 season.

After the news dropped, Kyrie Irving took to social media to seemingly respond.

“I know who I am,” was the caption on the gif Irving posted to Twitter.

Kyrie Irving has been heavy ridiculed in the past for how he left the Celtics, how he left the Cavaliers, leaving on an unannounced hiatus with the Nets, not taking the COVID vaccine, and on and on we could go.

But at the end of the day, he has a prime opportunity at redemption in Brooklyn with Kevin Durant by his side. And even though things didn’t go according to plan last season, they’re still likely to be a main threat in the Eastern Conference next season if they just keep the band together for one more year.

Maybe Kyrie Irving is crazy, maybe he’s just misunderstood. But say what you will, you’d still have to admit that he remains one of the best players in the NBA when he’s on the floor.

Now, the Nets will just have to hope they finally get him not he floor for a full season.
