It’s a hard knock life for Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant.
This week’s second episode of “Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Detroit Lions” aired, and it had a pretty funny scene, one in which a player’s dad called out a very well known NBA superstar. Detroit Lions second-year wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and his family were highlighted during the the episode. St. Brown’s brother, Equanimeous, is a receiver for the Chicago Bears, while his father, John Brown, is also no slouch. John St. Brown was a two-time Mr. Universe bodybuilder in the 1980s.
Brown still trains both his sons, Amon-Ra and Equanimeous, and was interviewed during a workout. And while discussing how his sons got strong, Brown took a shot at Kevin Durant and his weak calves.
“You gotta train your whole body,” Brown said. “Kevin Durant and these guys mess their Achilles up. I have a question for guys like Kevin Durant — when’s the last time you did a calf raise?”

It was only a matter of time before the Brooklyn Nets star responded to the stray bullet from St. Brown’s father, and he did so with a simple tweet.

Perhaps he and John St. Brown can meet up for a workout before the 2022-23 NBA season gets underway.
Calves raises would most definitely be on the agenda.
