Kevin Durant Claps Back At Charles Barkley Over ‘Bus Rider’ Comments

During "Inside The NBA" on Thursday night, Charles Barkley went off on the 'coward' Lakers for scapegoating Frank Vogel and Russell Westbrook

27 May 2010: TNT analyst Charles Barkley discusses the game before the Los Angeles Lakers 103-101 victory over the Phoenix Suns in Game 5 of the NBA Western Conference Finals at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Charles versus KD is back on.

Prior to Game 4 between the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets, NBA on TNT analyst Charles Barkley called out Kevin Durant for his rings while on Inside The NBA.

“All these bus riders, they don’t mean nothing to me. If you ain’t driving the bus, don’t walk around talking about ‘you a champion.’ If you’re riding the bus, I don’t want to hear it,” Barkley said. “Come on Shaq, tell’ em. All these guys walk around with these championship rings. Hey, ya’ll bus riders. But let me tell you something. When you’re the bus driver and you got all that pressure when you have to play well or you going to get the blame? That’s a different animal.”

Following the Nets getting swept out of the playoffs by the Celtics on Monday night, Durant fired back at Barkley.

Durant posted a picture on Instagram of Barkley teaming up with Hakeem Olajuwon and Scottie Pippen in Houston.

Of course reactions came pouring in:

Durant pointing out what Charles did doesn’t mean Charles wasn’t right.

Durant’s rings are still his rings, but we know what he needed to do in order to get them.
