Throughout his NBA career, Jimmy Butler has been heralded as a guy you want with the ball in his hands with the game on the line. But Friday night was a different story, altogether.

With the Hawks leading the Heat by one late in the game, Butler took the inbound pass for an isolation play. As he dribbled right, Jimmy settled for a fadeaway jumper, which barely hit the front rim.

After the potential game-winning shot went awry for Jimmy Butler, fans swarmed social media to trash to Heat star.

Aside from the failed game-winning attempt, Jimmy Butler actually put together a pretty solid performance for the Heat on Friday night.

The shooting guard notched 20 points to go along with 10 rebounds and eight assists. However, it wasn’t enough in the end — and Trae Young and the Hawks were able to get their first win of the series.

Luckily for Jimmy Butler, his team still holds a 2-1 lead in the series, and he’ll have plenty of time to get revenge for his ill-advised final shot last night.
