Don’t count out Jimmy Buckets.
Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat lost a tough Game 7 against the Boston Celtics over the holiday weekend. Butler scored 35 points and could have easily won if he had hit a three pointer towards the end of the game. The Heat had a very good chance of winning the title this year, but now back to lab to prepare for next season. According to The Athletic, Butler is confident that this team will be back in contention next season.
Butler is guaranteeing that this team will run it back and eventually get things done.
“I think we had enough – I think we do have enough,” Butler said. “It sucks because you don’t know who is going to be on the roster any given year, you know what I’m saying? We had enough. Next year, we will have enough and we’re going to be right back in the same situation, and we’re going to get it done.”

The Miami Heat have a ton of great pieces and there is no doubt they will be contenders again next season.
If not for injuries things could have gone a lot differently, but sometimes that’s how the cookie crumbles. Win or lose Jimmy Butler is a beast, and the NBA would be much better off if more guys had his mentality. He goes hard on both sides of the ball, which is a rarity these days.
Buckets will be back with a vengeance.
