Jason Kidd is issuing a challenge.
The Dallas Mavericks’ season is over after being eliminated by the Golden State Warriors. Luka Doncic and the Mavs proved the doubters wrong and made it all the way to the conference finals, but ultimately they didn’t have enough to overcome a 3-1 deficit. Mavs head coach Jason Kidd questioned his team about how seriously they want to get back to this point next season.
Although he didn’t say Luka’s name, it was quite obvious who he was referring to in his message to the team.
“Now, it’s about what’s our appetite come next season? Next season, are we going to be hungry? And then, are we going to train this summer to understand what it means to play until May and June?”

Luka is only 23 years old but looks more like 33. If he doesn’t improve his conditioning, he’s not going to be as effective as he gets older.
Plus his defense is pretty suspect.
If he takes his craft seriously he can easily be one of the best. Back to the lab.
