Despite coming in as the heavy favorite against the Timberwolves, Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies lost Game One on Saturday night.

But ahead of Game Two, the star point guard is coming in with a whole lot of confidence. So much so, that he’s even channeling his inner Michael Jordan.

Ja Morant took to Instagram to post a video of Michael Jordan from “The Last Dance”.

“So what? We lost one game,” Jordan says in the clip. “Well it’ll be a dog fight tomorrow. But that’s alright. Let’s see if all that trash talkin starts when it’s 0-0 instead of a 5-6 point lead. That’s where it starts. That’s the sign of a good man. If you can talk shit when it’s even score, or when you’re behind score. When you’re ahead, it’s easy to talk. ”

When “The Last Dance” was the craze of the sports world during COVID lockdown, Ja Morant shared his feelings on the docuseries.

“That’s the goat. If you don’t like Michael Jordan, you don’t like basketball,” he said at the time.

Ja Morant and the Grizzlies will look to get revenge for their Game One loss on Tuesday night when they take on the Timberwolves.

Until then, Ja might have to re-watch some of “The Last Dance” so he can channel more of that MJ energy on the floor.
