Things went from bad to worse for the Memphis Grizzlies when they lost superstar point guard Ja Morant to injury during the second half of their blow out loss against the Warriors on Saturday night.

Morant was near the three point line when it appeared that Warriors rookie Jordan Poole grabbed at his knee — causing him to limp off the floor.

You be the judge if this play was dirty or clean:

After the game, Ja Morant said that Jordan Poole ‘broke the code’ in a since-deleted tweet.

While Ja Morant’s status for the rest of the series remains up-in-the-air, Jordan Poole defended himself against the criticism of the play.

“It’s a basketball play,” Poole said via SI. “We doubled him and I went for the ball. Obviously you don’t want to see anybody get hurt. I’m not even that type of player.”

Regardless of the severity of Ja Morant’s injury going forward, Jordan Poole would probably be best served keeping his head on a swivel for the remainder of the series.
