Is there a dark  horse team emerging for Kevin Durant?

The Washington Wizards accomplished their sole mission this Summer.  That was to lock up Bradley Beal. Once they got that done and gave him the richest contract in NBA history, now they’re looking to add some more fire power around him.

Maybe KD?

Via Sam Amico of Hoopswire.com, the Washington Wizards could make a “major push” to land Durant this offseason.

“Several sources even have told Hoops Wire to keep an eye on the Wizards, who could make a major push,” Amico writes. “Durant is a DC product, too. He may not be upset about playing at home alongside Bradley Beal.”

Kevin Durant with Beal would be a great duo, but like every KD trade scenario, how much do you have to give up in order to get him?

And what would the Wizards have left to actually make a run.

I doubt Durant will end up on the Wiz, but that’s why it’s called a Dark Horse.

You never know…
