Lakers coach Frank Vogel took the time to reflect on the plethora of LeBron James rumors and quotes that were circling the web during the All-Star break

The Los Angeles Lakers are about to get bounced from postseason contention.

With a loss at Phoenix on Tuesday night, plus a San Antonio Spurs win against the Denver Nuggets, the Lakers would officially become ineligible for the NBA’s second annual Play-In Tournament. That would put an end to one of the most disappointing seasons in franchise history.

Now as this tumultuous season is nearing the end, the Lakers are still expected to part ways with their head coach Frank Vogel.  According to B/R  the anticipated vacancy on Los Angeles’ bench has produced no shortage of potential candidates.

As Marc Stein first reported, Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder is perhaps most often mentioned by league figures as a possible Vogel replacement.

Doc Rivers, the Philadelphia 76ers’ head coach, is another active bench leader being mentioned by league personnel as a potential Lakers candidate.

Not sure anyone is going to jump at this job, as long as LeBron is running things that is.
