Ben Simmons is about to do something he hasn’t done in a very long time.

You guessed it, Ben is going to actually play basketball. Today NBA insider Brian Windhorst said on ESPN’s Get Up that Simmons could finally make his Nets debut during the upcoming playoff series vs. the Boston Celtics. An early timeline has Simmons possibly playing by game four at the earliest.

“I am told Ben Simmons is targeting games four, five or six for making his Brooklyn Nets debut,” he said. “I gotta say I was taken aback by being told that information. My response was, ‘Is he even playing five-on-five yet?’ The answer to that is no. But the hope is by the end of the week he can ramp up to that.”

Like usual Twitter reacted to Windhorst’s report:

At this point does anyone even want to see Simmons back on the court?

That means even more drama over his shot and free throws. Plus throwing him back in the fire might not be good for his mental health.

But hey, I’m all for it. It’s going to be a lot of fun seeing what happens with him once he does return.
