It’s really starting to look like Ben Simmons isn’t going to be playing at all this postseason.
Even though the Nets were working under the assumption that Simmons would be ready for Game Four on Monday night, it was reported today that the point guard told the team that he still has back soreness.
Therefore, Ben Simmons will remain out for now.
ESPN Sources: The Nets and Ben Simmons expected he would be ready to play on Monday, but after getting on the court yesterday Simmons says he awoke with back soreness today. In the end, the team and Simmons agreed he'll remain out for Game 4.

When the Nets trading for Ben Simmons during the middle of the season, they must have thought he would be available to help their championship chances this season. But now, we’ll likely go through an entire offseason before we see Simmons on the court next.
Yesterday, the Nets lost Game Three to go down 3-0 in the series. And despite the spark Simmons could provide, it appears as though they’ll need to try to pull off the miraculous comeback without him.
What an odd season this has been for Ben Simmons…
