The rumor mill is churning with Kevin Durant trade rumors.

After the superstar asked to be traded from the Brooklyn Nets earlier in the week, a few frontrunners emerged. Mainly, the Suns, Celtics and Heat were favored to land KD.

Now, NBA insider are linking Kevin Durant to another team: the Denver Nuggets.

“I don’t *really* subscribe to conspiracy theories, but the #Nuggets have now landed one of KD’s mentees (Watson), one of his best friends (DeAndre), another former teammate (Brown) & already had one of his friends (Jeff Green) on the team. And that’s before you get to the 2x MVP,” Mike Singer of The Athletic said.

Kevin Durant has remained mum on his future. But by all indications, the Nets will be trading their best asset in a matter of days.

Being as there’s still three years remaining on KD’s contract, he holds little to no leverage in the situation — unless the team decides to let him in on the discussion.

For now, it’s still believed that one of the frontrunners will land Kevin Durant. But look out for sleeper teams such as the Nuggets who have valuable pieces the Nets would be interested in.
