Mike Tyson Claims He Was On Shrooms For Fight Against Roy Jones Jr.

Mike Tyson speaks during an interview with The Associated Press, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Thursday, May 4, 2017. Tyson is in Dubai to announce the start of his worldwide boxing gym franchise. Tyson said Thursday that a city like Dubai can show people the best of the Middle East, its people and Islam. Tyson praised the sheikhdom as "a party place, a place you have a good time at. This is like New York, man!" He said that contradicts some negative perceptions of the Mideast. (AP Photo/Kamran Jebreili)

Mike Tyson is coming clean.

A boxing match between a 54-year-old Tyson and 50-year-old Jones Jr. went about as expected. It was a drawn-out match that ended in a draw and anybody who went into the affair hoping for a classic Tyson knockout left disappointed. It was just two 50 year old guys fighting to make some money.

The former heavyweight champ appeared on Ryan Clark’s podcast The Pivot on Tuesday and revealed something rather shocking about that exhibition bout. Apparently he was high on mushrooms when it happened, and said he wished he could’ve done it for other fights in his career too.

Watch Below:

Tyson really seems in tune with nature. As long as he’s not biting ears in the ring, I’m all for it.
