Jorge Masvidal has found himself in deep trouble after ambushing Jorge Masvidal earlier in the week.

According to a police report, Masvidal showed up to a Miami restaurant — where Covington was having dinner with podcast host Bob Menery — and immediately started throwing haymakers.

Colby Covington told police that Jorge Masvidal had damaged his tooth and caused abrasions to his wrist following the attack.

Now, it’s being reported that Masvidal has been booked and held on bond following an investigation.

Per ESPN’s Marc Raimondi:

“Jorge Masvidal is currently in custody in Miami on $15,000 bail, per records. He is being charged with aggravated battery with bodily harm and criminal mischief. More coming to ESPNMMA”

Following the incident, Jorge Masvidal claimed that it was Colby Covington bringing his kids into their beef that made him snap.

“Good morning to everyone except those that think talking about someone’s kids is cool,” he wrote on Twitter.

Colby Covington took care of Jorge Masvidal in the ring via unanimous decision earlier in the month. And clearly Masvidal is having problems recognizing that he let a chance at redemption slip threw his fingertips, and now he’s going to have to pay the price.

We’ll await any more details on this story.
