Despite his recent string of losses, UFC veteran Nate Diaz has landed another massive fight.
According to multiple different reports, Diaz had a verbal agreement with welterweight contender Khamzat Chimaev for a main event fight in September.
UFC is finalizing a welterweight matchup between @KChimaev and @NateDiaz209 to headline UFC 279 on Sept. 10 in Las Vegas, UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell told @bokamotoespn.

Shortly after the Khamzat Chimaev-Nate Diaz fight was announced, Draftkings released a betting line for the event.
Unsurprisingly, Diaz is a heavy underdog.

Nate Diaz has had a long, impressive career in the UFC, but pinning him against a rising star such as Khamzat Chimaev at this stage seems like a recipe for disaster for him
For a long time now, Diaz has held out from the UFC and president Dana White, claiming that he’s still capable of getting top fights.
Sure enough, Nate Diaz has a chance at making a statement against Khamzat Chimaev, but everyone is expecting a lopsided fight, and the betting line reflects just that.
Good luck, Nate. You’ll need it.
