Willson Contreras Sends Message To Cubs Fans After Potential Last Game At Wrigley Field

Was today the last time we’ll see Willson Contreras rock the home jersey at Wrigley Field?

With the Trade Deadline looming, Cubs fans and Contreras both recognized that today may very well have been his last home game.

And all throughout the game against the Pirates on Tuesday afternoon, Cubs fans were letting Willson Contreras Know how much they appreciate him.

After the Cubs defeated the Pirates 4-2, Willson Contreras sent a strong message to the Cubs fans who he’s been linked with for the past seven years.

Willson Contreras is expected to be one of the bigger names floated in trade talks prior to the deadline.

This season, the backstop is hitting .258 with 14 home runs to go along with 37 RBIs. He’s also widely known as one of the best defensive catchers in the league.

Pretty soon, the Cubs are likely going to be saying goodbye to Willson Contreras, and Tuesday afternoon served as a bittersweet farewell on the North Side of Chicago.
