It’s baseball fighting season.

The Portland Sea Dogs and Binghamton Rumble Ponies are going viral today for a fight that broke out between the two double-A teams. Like most fights between teams, it all started when Binghamton pitcher Marcel Renteria beaned Portland’s Tyreque Reed with a pitch.

To make matters worse Renteria started talking trash when Reed was making his way to first base. Something must have been said that completely set it all off.

Renteria got dropped like a bad habit by Reed. The benches then cleared and a full blown wild brawl took place.

Watch below:

Reed certainly made Renteria eat his words, whatever the hell he was yelling from the mound.

If a pitcher is going to fight, he’s best off staying on the mound, that’s the high ground, and the advantage one needs in a fight.

This is one part of the sport that fans actually want to tune in for.
