The San Diego Padres are finding ways to stay competitive without their superstar, Fernando Tatis Jr., all season long. And unfortunately, they’ll have to wait a while longer before they get him back in the lineup.
While the Padres were hoping to get Tatis back soon from his surgically-repaired wrist, the CT Scan didn’t come back like they would have hoped yesterday.
Fernando Tatis Jr.’s CT scan yesterday did not reveal the level of healing the Padres hoped. The timeline will be moved back.

Now, the Padres will be forced to shut down Fernando Tatis Jr. probably until at least the All-Star Break before re-evaluating the shortstop’s wrist.
Luckily for them, they have a solid foundation without him — and have gone toe-to-toe with the suddenly-struggling Dodgers in the NL West.
Whenever Fernando Tatis Jr. does come back, it could be exactly the shot in the arm the Padres need to reach their championship aspirations. But that day doesn’t appear to be coming any time soon.
