Sitting with the best record in the MLB, the Yankees are going all-in this season.

After acquiring outfielder Andrew Benintendi last week, the Yankees made some more big splashes today.

Early in the day, the Yanks traded for Cubs reliever Scott Effross, but later they made the big deal that many have been expecting for a while.

New York was able to land A’s starter Frankie Montas, along with reliever Lou Trivino for some of their top prospects.

Yankees World Series Odds

Given the plethora of moves the Yankees have now made, they’re World Series odds have changed drastically.

It was announced shortly after the Montas trade that the Yankees now have the highest odds (tied with the Dodgers), at +360.

The New York Yankees currently sit atop the AL East at a spectacular 69-34.

So far, the Yankees have been riding an overachieving starting rotation and a historic season from Aaron Judge. But as GM Brian Cashman is realizing, they can always get better.

They’ve certainly gotten a lot better already, and I don’t think it would surprise anybody if they weren’t done making moves ahead of tomorrow’s Trade Deadline.
